Club Notes 4 August 2015


Well done to our minors on winning the division 2 regional title following a hard fought win over Bundoran on Monday evening in Ardara, playing against a strong wind they trailed 1-06 to 0-02 at the interval in the second half they scored 1-07 to no reply until Bundoran got a goal with five minutes left to go two points up but two late points and an injury time winning goal from David Love clinched the title for the lads the final score was Cill Chartha 2-09 Bundoran 2-06. Our Under 16s progressed to the next round of the championship following an excellent win away to Naomh Conaill the final score was 2-09 to 1-04 while our Under 14s play Naomh Mhuire in the first round of the championship this Tuesday with the second leg on Friday, our Under 21’s face neighbours Naomh Columba in the championship on Tuesday 11th at 7pm in Towney.

County Seniors

Well done to Donegal on reaching the All Ireland Quarter Finals following their win over Galway, Patrick McBrearty and Ryan McHugh got two of the goals while Mark McHugh was also involved in the starting 15 with Ciaran McGinley on the subs bench next up is Mayo in Croke Park this Saturday evening at 6pm

There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot so next week’s Jackpot is €4,100 this week’s numbers were:  1, 9, 13 and 30 winners were: €50 Jason Shovlin (Castlecarn) €30 Harper Rose McDowell (Bavin) and €20 John Curran (Bogagh).  Lotto Plus numbers 8, 13, 26 and 27 there was no winner.  


Club Bingo winners were €150 Bridie McSweeney, Margaret McGinley €100 Pamela Bonner, €80 Joan Ellis, €70 Ann Breslin, Ann McGill, Jon Conwall, Mary Bourne, Mark Campbell and Ann Maguire next Sundays Jackpot is €5,100.


Congratulations and best wishes to club player Gerard McBrearty and his new wife Claire Thompson we wish them many years of happiness following their wedding at the weekend.
